First Sleep Over!
Well, Emma had her very first sleep over on Friday night! Her little best friend, Nikki, came over around 6, they enjoyed a dinner of pizza, carrot sticks and apple chunks followed my milk and cookies. They watched some movies but MOSTLY they ran around playing tag and ring around the rosie. They are so much alike, they just adore each other. From the day they met they became instant best friends.

Holy....shit.....
See this grassy area? This is the area known as the "echo"...Emma calls it that because there is a storm drain there that she can yell into and it makes an echo. Emma and I play in this area ALL THE TIME. At least 3 days a week. In nice weather pretty much every day...See where the car is? That is where Emma runs around ALL the time..that is where we walk to go play.
See where the fence is broken? There is a little dirt patch there that Emma LOVES to play in with her toy bulldozer..She also likes to wave at the school buses as they go by...the path this car took...Emma has spent countless hours playing there.
The police said the guy in the white car ran a red light going 50 mph.
I almost puked when Emma and I went out to PLAY HERE and saw this:
Here are pics of Emma and I playing in that very spot .

Beautiful "Winter" Day
It's like 50 degrees outside! I LOVE IT! It's been so cold here, colder than usually expected for Utah this time of year...and it's been kind of depressing. But today was so pretty and sunny and not cold at all.
So Emma and I went out bird watching, not much to see, mostly Starlings in winter feathers. But it was still so nice.
Emma has been extra in love with her baby doll lately, she takes her everywhere. She calls her "Mots"...so sweet. She puts her down for naps and gives her bottles. I think she just loves her baby cousin Kira so much, so she copies what Aunt Becky does.
And here is a video of Emma explaining Berry Pie. And just some other pics of my pretty girl running around having a fun time.

Jen's Cake
So, on New Years Eve we celebrated the long awaited return of our SIL, Sean-Paul's wife Jen.
For those who don't know the story, I will sum it up quickly, for those who do, skip to the next paragraph! Sean-Paul and Jen got engaged early last spring. The had a wedding planned for late May. Jen is from Canada, and while she had lived here for nearly 3 years, she was only here on work and student Visas. Since the rule is, once she gets married she cannot leave the US for 1 year they decided to have a pre-wedding reception in Canada a couple weeks before the wedding. So, they go there, have a lovely reception, drive home only to be stopped at the border and be turned away. Since Jen's school had just ended and she recently left her job they wouldn't let her through. They went back to Calgary and got married a couple days later. After 8 months of filing paper work and waiting...LOTS of waiting she came home a couple days before Christmas!!!!
So, back to New Years Eve, we put up red white and blue balloons and streamers and Frank came up with the idea for this cake...AND he decorated it on his own! YES! Frank is now a cake decorator! LOL!!!! (I have blocked out her last name and year of birth for privacy reasons.) She LOVED the cake and we had a great time.
