Utah Lake

This past Saturday was actually a fairly nice day so we took advantage and drove to Utah Lake (in Provo Utah) and went bird watching! YES...MORE BIRDS!

We had a great time and we saw a Bald Eagle and an American Kestrel (a very small falcon type bird.) So, below are pictures of our day. It was so great...we wore ourselves out walking around, looking at everything...the lake was FROZEN...wow! I had no idea it would freeze like that....I knew SOME of it would be frozen, but not the whole damn thing! (Yes, I know, it's only frozen on top....LOL)

Emma has FINALLY learned to sleep in her own room...It's been a long road of trying and failing...but now she really seems to like sleeping in her pretty room alone. When she learned her mama liked her own room when she was little that convinced her it was great! LOL So here are some pics of her very purple and yellow bedroom.

More Bore!

Saw a red-tailed hawk perched in a tree today!

Allow me to bore you...

Saw this little bird the last few days...man, this is a shy species and I had a bit of a hard time getting a photo. He's cute though! It's called a Dark-Eyed Junco. It's a kind of sparrow. I think it's just beautiful.

I also saw a Townsend's Solitaire, but I didn't have my camera with me...I still haven't learned to take my binoculars and camera with me EVERYWHERE I go. But I will learn!

Today we also saw a fox in the feild across from the apartment complex!

Computer is back! Kinda...

Frank fixed the power supply, but unfortunately one of the wires on one of the fans broke, so I am only supposed to use it for a little bit at a time.

We got lots of snow and made a snowman and decorated it with the snowman kit Jackie got Emma for Christmas.
