Emma's Intellectual Look.

Penny and Micki together again!

In 5th grade through 9th grade I had a very best friend named Micki. She was just about everything to me. She was the sister I never had, she was the other half of my personality, she was the bestest best friend a girl could ever ask for.

In typical mean girl fashion we got into a fight (neither of us can recall what it was about) in 9th grade. I scratched her Weezer CD, she tossed my backpack in a dumpster and we never spoke again....until 15 years later!

One day my brother sees her on Facebook and tells me about it. So I sneak a peak...but I couldn't see her pictures unless I was on her friends list. So I added her, telling her I was only curious and wanted to see what her life was like now. We ended up chatting...only to find out some weird coincidences!

1-We both married young and didn't have kids right away

2-We both had our first born with in 3 weeks of each other! Both girls!

3-We lived in the same small town...only 5 blocks from each other!

So...we met up and we've been, once again, inseparable!

Here are a couple pictures of us in our early 90's glory!

Visit with Buppa and Val

We got to have a visit several weeks ago with Buppa and Val! Emma was very excited. And to this day (almost everyday) she asks if we can go to the Super 8 and see Buppa! LOL! I don't think she fully understands that he doesn't LIVE there.

Here are some photos.

Emma and Buppa...so happy to see each other! (This is the only picture I go permission to actually post...but hey, promises are meant to be broken!)
Buppa and Emma at Chuck E Cheese....she STILL talks about this too...she still has a cup full of tokens! LOL

We went swimming at their hotel...like father, like son....LOL!!!!
Emma jumping on the hotel bed. After kicking the headboard I told her, "Stop kicking the wall." A minute later she was kicking again...and I said "Emma what did I tell you?!" she replied with "Mama, it's a headboard, not the wall!" My little future lawyer!

New pics!

Library Art!

The summer reading program at our local library has a theme of "bugs" this year. So to kick it off all kids got to make a bug and have it on display at the library. This is Emma with her two new friends, Patience on the left and Dante on the right.

The picture on the bottom shows their creations up close. Emma made the black widow spider. Patience made the lady bug and Dante made the potato bug.
